IoT TECHNOLOGIES

ETM is at the forefront in research and development when it comes to latest in IoT Technologies. We are in the process of bringing to market new innovative IoT products using the following technologies.

IoT

Internet of Things (IoT) is a term for objects/things that are connected to the internet for communicating information or being remotely controlled. IoT as a term is most commonly used for objects that wouldn't normally be associated with internet communication, unlike smartphones or computers.

ETM is at the forefront of developing new IoT products. Commonly for monitoring and alarming in industrial applications.

LTE (4G)

LTE (Long Term Evolution) or more commonly known as 4G is a standard for wireless broadband communication across the globe. The technology is based on the 2G/3G (GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSPAA) technology, but offers higher network speed and capacity.

ETM offers several products and solution taking advantage of this technology. Contact ETM today to discuss how we can help with your IoT projects using this technology!

LTE CAT M1

ETM is in the process of developing a new range of products that are low bandwidth and lower power but allow communications over longer distances. These units have long battery life and can be deployed remotely providing a solution where traditional networks power consumption is a limiting factor.

Contact ETM today to discuss how we can help with your IoT projects using this efficient technology.

NB-IoT

Narrowband IoT is another area of technology that ETM is actively developing products for. Using the 4g LTE network NB-IoT products feature, low cost, long battery life and high connection density.

The ETM-770 NB-IoT is a very popular industrial 4G/LTE networking tool that functions across all GSM networks measuring signal strength and coverage.

5G

5G, the fifth generation standard for wireless broadband communications. 5G is the planned successor of the 4G LTE standard and provides even faster network speeds and capacity. 5G rollout started in 2019 and is still ramping up.

ETM is planning to develop solutions that take advantage of this technology some time in the future.
